Stay Fit, Stay Positive Campaign

  • June 19, 2020

Keeping fit is central to your physical and mental wellbeing, it is important to exercise daily and incorporate exercising into your routine. Regular exercise slashes the chance of developing cancer by 50% and depression by 30%, so the benefits really cannot be overstated.

However, with all gyms closed for the foreseeable future, especially as people may not feel safe to return even when they do open, remaining fit and exercising at home has become more important than ever.

We at The Graduate Project have taken it upon ourselves to promote home fitness to our graduates, clients and colleagues alike to keep everyone in a positive mindset and keep Britain Fit. #WorkTogetherBritain

We have partnered with Omar Mansour, a renowned elite personal trainer who has trained royalty, celebrities and professional athletes. He has been trained by Team GB coaches and is a qualified UK Athletics coach and personal trainer. Omar Mansour will lead a free fitness workout on Tuesday 30th June at 12pm – 12:30pm on Instagram Live @thegraduateproject, come and join us all at TGP for the workout!

Working out at home is much easier than you think, a simple search on YouTube will give you thousands and thousands of videos giving you workouts and exercises to try out. There are a multitude of apps to help track your weight change and calculate your lean muscle mass.

You do not require any complex, expensive equipment to exercise efficiently at home, often enough a few weights and a yoga mat will more than suffice, a run in your local park is also a great way to get started and very easy to achieve.

With more and more companies encouraging their employees to work from home for the time being, you can use this extra time to incorporate your exercise routine around your work during the day, making it significantly easier to do than if you had to commute to and from the office each day, taking up valuable time.

Remember, join us in our free workout session led by personal trainer Omar Mansour on Tuesday 30th June at 12pm  on Instagram Live @thegraduateproject, see you there!
