Job Description

Role Overview 

Join our client as the new Finance Director! This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial future of a well known charity. You’ll work closely with the CEO, providing strategic financial insights and driving decision-making at the highest level. Your impact will extend across the organisation as you support frontline staff, engage with external funders, and collaborate with stakeholders. You'll also lead and mentor a team member in the daily management of accounting systems, combining hands-on involvement with the vision to guide our client's financial strategy forward.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Overseeing the team's payroll operations and coordinating with our external payroll provider monthly

  • Compiling quarterly financial statements and reports for the trustees

  • Providing guidance on financial issues

  • Developing cash flow forecasts and ensuring effective cash flow management

  • Generating financial data and analyses for senior management as needed

Requirements 

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent, with proven experience in financial management for an organization of similar scale

  • Prior experience in overseeing financial operation

  • Strong proficiency in IT, especially in Excel and Word

  • Skilled in managing and tracking cash flow
